Description

(approx. 150 words)

Features of life if the wild card manifests

Feature 1: business models and industrial environment
New language schools take up their business and offer language courses in CEL.
Feature 2: education and research environment
Schools and universities have to adapt their schedules as their offer language classes but also other subjects being taught in CEL. For adults, free language courses are offered all over Europe. Cross-European research projects increasingly use CEL as working language and publish scientific papers in CEL. Thus, the research environment serves as a driver for the spread of the language and helps raise the acceptance.
Feature 5: politics and global affairs
The aim is to have CEL as the only working language in all EU institutions. As a first step, all official EU documents are translated into CEL. New employees have to have a language certificate.

Note: RTD = research and technology development; STI = science, technology and innovation
In the very long run, a common European language would make it very easy to communicate within Europe. There would be no language barriers between scientists and researchers alt all any more.
