Ultra low cost laboratories on chips

Description

(approx. 150 words)
Please describe the Wild Card (approx. 150 words)
Conventional analytical methods often require a large sample volume and complicated time-consuming protocols. The ultra low cost laboratories on chips (LOC), which will integrate the Microsystems (valves, pumps, reservoirs, heaters, Organic LEDs and electronics) and Biotechnology (reagents, enzymatic reactions, immobilised layers). may do the same work without penalisation in time response, sensitivity or simplicity of use. The user will obtain the test results using a very popular interface, e.g. smartphone. This technology will cause fundamental change of research methods in many field, e.g. chemistry, biology or medicine.

Mini-description

(max. 250 characters)

The ultra low cost laboratories on chips will cause fundamental changes of research methods mainly in chemistry, biology and medicine.
